The Best of Beijing's Father's Day Events

You only get one day a year to celebrate the most important man in your life, so make sure it's a good one. We've rounded up our picks of Beijing's Father's Day events; you'll find something to enjoy, whatever kind of Dad he is!

For the foodie: Father's Day menu at Brasserie Flo
For gastronomically-inclined father's you could do worse than take them to Brasserie Flo. A special four-course brunch (RMB 398 per person) includes manly favorites like fillet steak, as well as a Valhrona chocolate cigar with whiskey and spiced walnuts. Dads will receive gifts and other surprises.

For the fun-loving Dad: Beijingkids' Father's Day Pool Party
Spend a relaxing Saturday in the garden at the Radisson Blu. Not just for Dad, activities include swimming, games, a free family photo and massages for put-upon parents. For the outdoorsman: A hike on the wall and lunch at Schoolhouse
Beijing is surrounded by excellent hiking, with plenty of different levels of difficulty to suit everyone. China Highlights has rounded up some of the best mountains for hiking around the city. Alternatively, spend a day exploring the Great Wall at Mutianyu, then finish up at the nearby Schoolhouse, where Dads accompanied by at least one child can choose a sandwich or main course, plus a dessert and soft drink or beer, all for free.

For the comedian: Humor section presents Ari Shaffir
No Dad jokes here ... Jewish-American comedian Ari Shaffir is appearing in a one-off show at The Bookworm this Sunday. Shaffir is best known for his popular podcast, "Ari Shaffir's Skeptic Tank". RMB 180, RMB 150 (advance).
