Taco Bar Now Officially Open

Taco fans, put on your baggiest pants: the long-awaited reincarnation of the Taco Bar in Sanlitun South (next to Homeplate) is now, in their own words, kinda officially open. Get down there now for dishes like the delicious esquites pictured above, delicious Mexican corn with cilantro mayo, lime and cheese.

Here‘s the low down on all the latest news from them.

The hours are Tuesday-Thursday 5.30pm-1am, Friday-Saturday 5.30pm-2.30am and Sunday 11.30-1am.There's a late night menu everyday from 10pm, including *drools* chicharrones, and a brunch menu on Sundays from 11.30am-2pm, featuring what sound like the perfect hangover dishes: chilaquiles al forno, migas rancheros etc. They plan to start serving lunch everyday in the near future.

They've got some good permanent and non-permanent deals going on too:

• Daily, 5.30pm-7pm: Buy an alcoholic beverage, get a taco.
• Daily, 10pm-midnight: All you can drink pitchers for RMB 120 per person.
• Daily, midnight-close: Buy a pitcher, get a late night snack.
• Complimentary rides home (up to RMB 60) from Uber on Friday and Saturday nights after midnight. Same deal for brunch on Sundays from 12pm-3pm.

Finally, this Saturday July 19th grab all-you-can-eat tacos for RMB 100, "in honor of all the fatties who used to gorge at the old place." The event runs 12-3pm and there'll be a normal lunch menu for those who don't have an unlimited appetite.
