Swans to Play the JUE Festival Warm Up Concert Early Next Year

Huge concert news this week, one of planet earth's most beloved experimental rock bands will be coming to Beijing for the pre-JUE show early next year. If you are unaware of just how big this is, get informed on their past exploits here

Swans emerged from that beloved dissonant era of New York music, affectionately known as No Wave. A time that cultivated such acts as Sonic Youth, Lydia Lunch, and Glenn Branca just to name a few. After about a fourteen year hiatus, that resulted in the front man exploring the dark sides of folk with Angels of Light, Swans returned to the circuit in 2011 and began touring and recording again.

Now they are ready to tear up Beijing with their unique existential industrial folk blanketed by waves of harsh noise. It’s going to be raw, like a bayou backyard wrestling match organized by Jene Genet and Survival Research Laboratories. A huge round of applause for the good people over at Split Works for continuing to bring important music to China and beyond. We're not worthy!
