The Most Stimulating Parties of the Week!

Join Dong Dong and Dada for a stuffed weekend of live music. Together they will be featuring a slog of DJs and amazing performers from Beijing and greater Asia. Here is a quick rundown of the mayhem going down there over the weekend:

Nov 27: Sun Glitters, White+, Far/∞ – RMB 60

On Thanksgiving, Dong Dong sets things off with the glitched out sounds of Sun Glitters, and the the ecstatically abstract electronics of White+, and finally some pure industrially tinged techno from Far/∞. This night is essential for those of you who don’t shy away from the more obscured forms of modern music.

Nov 28: Fifi Rong, Antipop RMB 80
This majestically styled trip hop queen, Fifi Rong, will be making her first appearance in the capital. Since making waves on last year’s collaboration with Tricky and her recent solo EP, she is blowing up and has been featured on even more releases with artists like Phaeleh, Pixelord, and Boris Blank (Yello). She is sure to leave you mystified with her chilled out, willowy vocals and unearthly soundscapes. This night will also feature a crazy live AV set by Howie Lee, and finally DJ Antipop from the band Telepopmusik will be dropping by for your listening pleasure.

Nov 29: Soolee, Calip8, Nichifanlemei, and Shackup  RMB 80
Dong Dong pairs up with the party boys of Antidote to bring you an insane selection of electronic music artists. Soolee (Seoul) was an instrumental figure in developing the techno scene in Korea, and has since become one of the country’s leading producers and DJs. Then there will be Calpih8 from Manila, who is an expert at chopping and serving up magnificent audio colleges with his MPC sampler to create a unique musical landscape that traverses genres and ignores all axioms of modern EDM. Finally, the evening will be rounded out by the skills of Chengdu artist Nichifanlemei, who is a founder of the Footprint label and local trap-master DJ Shackup.

Here are some more (non-Dong Dong related) events that are sure to hurt your brain come Sunday:
