Here's the Plan for Maybe Mars in 2015!

Be ready, for it’s going to be a massive 2015 for Maybe Mars. Filled with enough new records and tours to make you spasm from  over consumption of sweet aural delights, or maybe just bleed from the ears.

At the tail end of 2014, they signed the crunchy post-punk unit Hiperson. These guys have been blowing up in Chengdu for the past couple of years with their angular riffage and haunting vocal arrangements. Check out their set on The Soundstage from last November:

It’s cool that Maybe Mars is expanding their reach beyond Beijing and signing talented acts from other scenes across China. In 2014 Maybe Mars also signed their first Hong Kong band, The Yours, who released their crazed angsty noise rock pièce de résistance, Teengarden, late last summer.
