Slow Boat IPA Week Returns this July

[Updated 7/1: Slow Boat have decided to swap the Slutty Mermaid Triple IPA for the White Cap IPA on the Wednesday]

Slow Boat's annual IPA Week is back! For the occasion the team will brew seven India Pale Ale's especially for us IPA-starved Beijingers, selling a different one every day of the week at only RMB 25 a glass between July 13 and July 19. Not only a bargain, but also a great way to challenge those taste buds.

The schedule for the week and descriptions of each ale are as follows:

Monday, July 13 Mosaic IPA (7% ABV, 50 IBU)
Passion fruit and lychee, intensely dry hopped, light pine bitterness.

Tuesday, July 14 Moby Dick's Red Double IPA (8% ABV, 75 IBU)
Coconut and vanilla, malty sweet, resinous pine aroma.

Wednesday, July 15 White Cap IPA (6.75% ABV, 50 IBU)
Hazy, wheat, citrus and pine.

Thursday, July 16 Equinox India Pale Lager (IPL) (4.5% ABV, 45 IBU)
Citrusy, cripsy lager finish, sessionable.

Friday, July 17 Monkey's Fist IPA (5.75% ABV, 45 IBU)
Mango and passion fruit, orange peel and pine notes, sweet grainy maleness.

Saturday, July 18 Calypso IPA (6.5% ABV, 50 IBU)
Fruity and bright, dry hopped with Calypso hops, dry finish.

Sunday, July 19  First Immortal Double IPA (8.0% ABV, 65 IBU)
Floral and citrus, caramel and licorice, strong maleness .

Even if you don't end up going for the IPAs, we've seen and tested a lot of new brews on their menu that will keep you at the bar. Specifically, the Oregon Steam Lager which yours truly enjoyed so much that she thought it would be a great idea to have about three pints too many (not on a weekday ... if my boss just happens to read this).

On that note, back to work. See you at IPA Week!
