Tell Your American Friends Autumn is the Best Time to Visit Beijing

A new tool from websites Quartz and Hopper lets US-based travelers see which season offers the best prices on outbound air tickets. And according to that there tool, Beijing's best season, autumn, is also the least expensive time to visit.

Autumn is listed as the least expensive time to visit from all 17 major US airports that the site references. With only a couple of exceptions, no destinations are considered least expensive in summer. Winter and autumn provide the biggest number of possible cities with bigger seasonal discounts.

Air travel pricing is expected to be even better this autumn, as falling fuel prices will likely continue, and airlines will finally recognize this and pass the savings on to passengers. Pricing could hit a four-year low according to Travel and Leisure.

It also helps that top US airlines are being investigated for price fixing at the moment, which may also help to keep fares down. Doesn't matter, we'll take it, after years of paying surcharges.

Would be quite a surprise if the piece of wreckage found on Reunion Island actually turns out to be a bit of Malaysia Airlines MH370.
