Al Fresco Alert: Beijing's Newest Outdoor Dining and Drinking Options

The sun is out, and the people of Beijing want rooftops! While the weather isn't overly hot, and you can sit outside without melting into a puddle of sweat, gutter oil, and the occasional pollutants, these are some of this seasons newest rooftops and outside seating areas. Enjoy! 

Arrow Factory Brewing
The new Arrow Factory Brewing location at Liangma Qiao has had its rooftop refurbished, and they're bringing in a bar with taps upstairs soon. Overlooking the river, this could be the ultimate after-work hangout for those earning their livings in Liangma Qiao and surrounding areas.

Fang Bar 
As Fang Bar only opened last October, we didn't really have a chance to fully enjoy its atmospheric bamboo patio out the front last year. With their delicious cocktails and the serene surroundings, there's no better way to get your outdoor time in when you're enjoying the hutongs.

He Kitchen
While we certainly don't really recommend the food at He Kitchen, the outside space is relaxing and the beers on tap are pretty decent, especially if you're into experimental craft beer flavors, for example, their Jasmine beer.

Long Jing
Tea house by day, cocktail bar by night, Long Jing incorporates different teas in their cocktails, and they have a terrace to round it all off. 

North Capital
Located inside the Ming Courtyard Hotel just off Guijie, this hotel bar does things a little differently, offering craft brews and good burgers in their massive patio. We approve!

Tim's Texas Bar-B-Q
Taking over Pizza by LMPLUS' former digs, Tim's Texas Bar-B-Q's new Central Park location has plenty of outside seating for everyone to enjoy the next couple of months.
