Drink and Eat Beijing by Bike with Jing-A's Tour de Jing this Saturday, Apr 23

We all know that the guys behind Jing-A Beer like to think outside the box when it comes to their events. Whether it be hutong haircuts or wild ski excursions for some Bohemian Grove type tomfoolery, they usually don’t cut any corners in the fun department. This Saturday's get-together is no exception.

You’ve heard of the Tour de France and of course the completely unrelated Tour de Pisa (tour is Italian for tower) of Rome, but what about the Tour de Jing? This weekend's event will be a sort of fusion of both of these epic athletic or architectural occurrences, combining a 12km pub crawl by bike, following the Jing-A Keg Egg while it stops at eight different bars to allow you to lean on whatever or whoever can support your drunken instability.

At its essence, it is a tour of restaurants and bars that sell Jing-A products but are also known for some delicious eats. Each location will feature a specific beer (all priced at RMB 30) along with a food pairing, for RMB 25 or less, to keep the riders satiated throughout this moderately arduous journey.

The tour begins at Palms LA Kitchen (Sanyuanqiao) at 1pm, after which the group will move to a new stop every hour until they fall over the finish line at 4Corners at 8.30pm. You can join in at any stop along the way, but if you collect a stamp at each stop by purchasing a beer, you will be rewarded with a free T-shirt.

Here is the complete Tour de Jing schedule and locations, along with food and beer pairings for your viewing pleasure:
