Prepare to Get Based, Spaced, and Graced With Top-Notch Trap DJs at Night Shft Festival, May 12

May is shaping up nicely with enough gigs and parties to make even the most avid music lover overwhelmed with possibilities. Well, that being said, here is yet another fest for you to have to decide between. Prepare yourselves for a bunch of big name DJs in the world of underground bass and trap who are all set to head to Beijing for the appropriately titled Night Shft Festival at Yugong Yishan on May 12.

They are bringing in the superb talents of Mad Decent's UZ, OG Maco (Atlanta), and Tsunano (Taiwan) to fill out this extreme night of crunked jams. Also on the list are Beijing favorites Oshi, Nasty Ray, Bloodzboi, and MCs Al Rocco and Blow Fever. That’s a lot of bass.

UZ has shared the stage with the likes of Snoop Dogg and Mobb Deep, so it’s no wonder he wears the trap crown. Dropping tunes on Mad Decent within months of his first release, shows that while his physical features remain a mystery – due to his face often being obstructed by a black bandana – his ferocious style is certainly grabbing headlines. OG Maco, is also a one of a kind madman that was propelled to legendary status in 2014 with the release of the schizophrenic track “U Guessed It” (check it below). We are wholeheartedly convinced that this is the sound of our nightmares, sparse and dark, like if Lil B decided to score Hellraiser.

This is the first time to our knowledge that there has been such a huge lineup of imported and local heads involved in trap and bass, playing under one roof. For RMB 120 (advance) or RMB 200 at the door, you can experience eight artists at the top of their game on one spectacular bill, surely sending this new festival’s rep to legendary status.
