EAT: TRB Bites and Botany Dare to Pair, Napa Rooftop Patio Pizza Party, Baijiu Dinner

This Saturday (Sep 3), before summer slips away, get to Napa between noon and 10pm to check out their new pizzas: RMB 100 sets you up on their (also shiny and new) outdoor space with a wood-fired margherita pizza and two Jing-A brews at their Rooftop Patio Pizza Party.

For something that will probably be, uhm, a little messier, get to the Opening Dinner and Speciality Baijiu Tasting for Beijing Orientation Month, also on September 3. Join Culture Yard and David Putney, co-owner of Capital Spirits, in their lovely hutong courtyard to be guided through a history and tasting of three unique varieties of baijiu sourced from different regions of China. As you drink, Culture Yard's ayi will be serving a homemade Chinese dinner right from our kitchen. If you don’t feel like a Beijinger yet, you will after this.

If you're looking to spend a little more money, but still want to have a great evening, check out Dare to Pair, a new dining collaboration between Sanlitun-based craft cocktail bar Botany's mixologist Frankie Zou and TRB Bites' newly appointed chef Sebastian Schafer. The innovative dinner presents a surprising combination of flavors throughout the five-course feast of food and cocktails.

The dinner is only on for two nights, on both Wednesday, September 7 and Thursday, September 8, from 7pm onwards, at TRB Bites, and will set you back RMB 580 (plus 10 percent service charge) per person. Book ahead to RSVP as places are likely to fill up fast.
