Book Now for Spring 2017 Restaurant Week, March 2-12

Bargain diners can start the week off happy, as booking is now open for the first 2017 edition of Dining City Restaurant Week. We imagine most people will be familiar with the format by now: for a limited time only, popular Beijing restaurants offer great value set lunches and dinners, which diners book through Restaurant Week's online platform.

The main change this year is that they have changed the pricing from a two-tier to a three-tier system, with the cheapest category of restaurants now priced at RMB 68 and RMB 108 for lunch and dinner, respectively; the mid-range category priced at RMB 108 and RMB 188; and the highest category priced at RMB 138 and RMB 278. As usual, restaurants that fall into the highest category offer the best value compared to their usual menu pricing.

Speaking of new things, a handful of new restaurants have been added this year, many of which are in Sanlitun's newest dining destination, the Topwin Center-Intercontinental Hotel complex. See a list of all the new restaurants below:

Unfortunately, some perennial favorites such as Brasserie Flo, TRB Bites, and Morton's are already sold out (although some tables may become available if there are cancellations) but there are plenty of hot tables still available. Our picks include:

  • Brasserie 1893: We recently revisited Waldorf Beijing's western restaurant and found plenty to love on their new menu
  • Feast (Food by EAST): Feast offers great value at the best of times but their Restaurant Week menu is even more of a steal
  • Hatchery: Go try their latest dining concept, Common Burger
  • Sureno: Take this opportunity to try Sureno since they relaunched their concept and menu under new chef Talib Hudda (formerly of The Georg)
