British Home Store Habitat Opens First Beijing Store in Parkview Green

British furniture and home decoration store Habitat has opened its first Beijing location in Parkview Green. Offering sofas (ringing in at a few thousand RMB), chairs, cupboards, bookshelves, as well as smaller items like glasses (wine glasses cost around RMB 65), plates, and scented candles (upwards of RMB 140), Habitat's a great option for sourcing stuff a tad nicer than Ikea (no hard feelings, Ikea) to spruce up your Beijing pad.

If I were a real adult with a real house, I feel like I would definitely decorate my entire house with things from Habitat.

They've already got the spring-summer 2017 collection in, which was inspired by the island of Formentera, the smallest of the Balearic Islands near Spain. The island was a refuge for Spanish intellectuals in the 1930s, becoming home to an alternative hippie movement. You can see these inspirations back in the collection's colors and patterns with lots of yellow and grey.

The new store is located right next to Gap on the lower ground floor. During it's opening phase you're entitled to a free gift if you spend upwards of RMB 300, and spending over RMB 1,000 will get you RMB 200 off your final bill.
