With mere hours to go left in this year's Pizza Cup, it's proving to be a nail-biting finish and there's no clear winner currently in sight between reigning champions Bottega and relative newbies Pie Squared.

To say that this final battle to claim the spot of 2017 Pizza Champions has been a divisive one would be an understatement, many a member of the public voicing their preference for what could be defined a more "traditional" slice by the family-run Bottega versus a more American spin from the Detroit-style Pie Squared.

Having tried both (as well what feels like almost every single one of the other 100 competitors in this year's competition), we can honestly declare that each is a heavenly combination of dough, cheese, and sauce, ones that serve varying purposes depending on the occasion. However, the only thing that matters from here on out is that you place your final vote or forever hold your peace (well, until next year).
