Christmas is rapidly approaching, which means that market season is upon us and is stuffed with events in order to source presents for loved ones and friends, and a sprinkling of coal for the rest. Even if you don't find what you're looking for, at least there'll be plenty of gluhwein and grub on hand to warm you up. Dec 5-6: Dulwich College Christmas Bazaar
Get an early start to your Christmas shopping at the Dulwich College Christmas Bazaar, where there'll be handicrafts and other fun gift ideas, proceeds from which go towards supporting Dulwich College. 3.30-7pm. Free. Dulwich College Beijing

Dec 9: Beijing Flea Market Christmas Edition
On the day before their official closure, Pop-Up Beijing (and Preface Hair Salon) play host to one final Christmas edition of Beijing Flea Market to help lap up the festive cheer. There'll be the usual pick of crafts, organic foods, and vintage clothes, ensuring a find for every member of your dysfunctional Beijing family. Noon-6pm. Free. Pop-Up Beijing

Dec 9: Riviera Christmas Market
The Riviera Christmas Market will feature mulled wine, Christmas food, an opportunity to make gingerbread houses, bubble football, horse rides, rock climbing, and of course, Christmas shopping. A good option for kids and kidults alike. 11am-8pm. Free. Beijing Riviera

Dec 9: BSB Christmas Fayre and German Market
Celebrate the festive season at the British School of Beijing in Shunyi this winter, including a German Christmas market with traditional wooden huts selling hot food and drinks (think wurst, pretzels, waffles, hot chocolate, and gluhwein) as well as special performances from BSB's school choirs and a tree lighting. Santa will be on hand to meet the little ones. 4-8pm. Free. The British School of Beijing

Dec 16-17: Marche de Noel
This French-style Christmas market comes to Solana for two days, bringing with it French specialties, artisanal French products for health and beauty, other gift ideas, as well as concerts, activities for kids, and a festival of lights. 1-9pm. Free. Solana Mall

Dec 10: Polish Club Christmas Bazaar
Polish Club invites you to join their Christmas bazaar, which promises to include Santa Claus and snow as well as a raffle, food and drink, gifts, and a kids' craft area. 11am-6pm. Free. Polish Club

 

Dec 10: The Hutong Winter Fayre
It just ain't Christmas without the Hutong's Winter Fayre. This year's event almost didn't happen after the authorities decided to go after The Hutong's second floor but luckily they have hung on and you can expect the same festive cheer, local crafts, and plenty of food. 11am-4pm. Free. The Hutong

Dec 16-17: Christmas Market at the Farm
Interns in Beijing throw a Christmas market at Tongzhou's Beijing Rain and Sunshine Farm this year, promising over 40 vendors from around town as well as plenty of entertainment for the kids in the form of magic shows, presents, as well as live music to keep you moving. 11am-9pm. RMB 100, RMB 25 (kids). Beijing Rain and Sunshine Farm

Dec 16-17 and 23-24: Farm to Neighbors Christmas Market
Farm 2 Neighbors have two more events before Christmas arrives, giving you twice the opportunity to get those last-minute gifts in the form of artisanal and local products. Noon-6pm. Free. The Grand Summit

Dec 23-24: CK Treasure Trove Last-Minute Christmas Market
Get your last-minute gifts at CK Treasure Trove's Last-Minute Christmas Market, including many of Beijing's smaller and independent food, drinks, and crafts vendors as well as the Little Adoption Shop. Expect festive food, drink, gifts, and kid's activities. Noon-7pm. Free. Yongli Mall

This is an events and lifestyle magazine, and this was a blog post about upcoming markets, one of which it seems is being organised by Cultural Keys. It's completely relevant, so how exactly is that spam? It's not like he's peddling VPN routers or looking for GoGo girls, so what's the problem?
