Five to Try on Tribe's New Fall/Winter Menu

We've come to expect a new menu from Tribe with each turn of the seasons and this year is no different. Just in time for winter, they have come out with a new food menu full of seasonal ingredients like pumpkin, beets, apples, and pears. The menu is inspired by autumn colors, the joy of sharing food with loved ones, and, of course, warmth – because it's cold and we very much need it! The menu features new breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, including some snazzy and cheesy new pizzas (excuse us for being obsessed with pizza, we've only just finished the Pizza Cup). Below is a selection of just five of the dishes that we feel represent the best of the new dishes on offer.
 

Paved with Passion Warm Smoothie Bowl (RMB 58)

We will admit that this warm smoothie bowl wouldn't necessarily be our first choice for breakfast (we still like our smoothies cold) but this soothing rendition is just as tasty and strikes a balance between a super-filling bowl of porridge and the smoothie we all know and love. The bowl is packed with dates, banana, milk, pumpkin soup, and pumpkin seeds, topped with goji berries, almond slices, and granola. The portion is big enough to share, too.
 

Winter Lovers Apple Salad (RMB 62)

Salads are not just for summer and this salad proves. A tart-sweet combo of leaves, apples, and red wine-mustard dressing, it reminded us of a Thanksgiving side dish thanks to the inclusion of dried cranberries and caramelized pecans. Pickled onions and feta cheese stop it from becoming too sweet.
 

Lusting After That Lamb Meatball Grain Bowl (RMB 88)

We love a hearty grain bowl and this one is a particular treat thanks to a topping of tender cheese-stuffed lamb meatballs (Tribe may be a "healthy" restaurant but cheese makes plenty of appearances on the menu). If you’re into working out, lamb is also a great source of creatine which helps boost athletic performance, while the roast cauliflower and mushrooms add extra heft to this already filling dish.
 

This is the Life Lamb Meatball Pizza (RMB 98)

Lamb meatballs make another appearance on this pizza, a new addition to Tribe's growing roster of pies. We were surprised to find how much we enjoyed Tribe's gluten-free almond flour bases when they released them a few years back and they just keep getting better. This particular one is topped with lamb meatballs, roasted tomatoes, feta cheese, and plenty of stretchy mozzarella cheese.
 

That Unforgettable First Date Cake (RMB 38)

This lightly sweet cake is somewhere between a Chinese-style date cake (枣糕 zǎogāo) and a sticky toffee pudding. The crowning scoop of coconut ice cream makes it suitable for after dinner dessert as well as afternoon tea. Oh, and it's gluten-free, too.
