Spice Up Your Life: Quench the Fire With Lianglu's Refreshing Range of Chili, Fruit, and Herb Baijius

People of the world! Every boy and every girl: In the lead up to our second annual Hot & Spicy Festival on Apr 20-21, we’re Spicing Up Our Lives with a few of the vendors to see what searing treats they'll be doling out at the rapidly approaching fine spring weekend. This time: Sun Zhongjian, marketing manager at Lianglu Baijiu.

Looking for something a little unusual to put out the fire in your belly this weekend? Lianglu Baijiu may be just the ticket. Using American limes and herbs Lianglu has created a refreshing yet unusual combo that gives their drinks a smooth taste, and makes for a great fix after eating spicy food.

This weekend they will bring with them several of their most popular drinks, including their coffee and coconut-flavor sparkling herbal tea with cubilose (the hardened salivary secretion of swift birds, highly prized for its health-giving properties), as well as their Lianglu Baijiu range. Said range consists of a variety of infusions that include herbs, osmanthus, rose, orange, chrysanthemum, and lotus, resulting in deep and floral flavors that won’t give you terrible hangover the next day.

As a long-time fan of spicy food, Sun Zhongjian knows what makes spicy food great and what it pairs best with. Here, Sun tells us about where his enthusiasm for spicy food stems from, and why we should be excited about the drinks they’re bringing to the festival.
