Take Our Douyin Chili Eating Challenge and Win Tickets to Hot & Spicy 2020!

We're only two weeks away from our fourth ever Hot & Spicy Festival, and if you haven't bought your tickets yet, you'll be pleased to know that you can attend for absolutely free... though you'll need to put on your bravest face to do so.

Welcome to the Douyin Chili Eating Challenge

This year, to get you sweating a little before our Mexican-themed festival on Jun 25-27 at Galaxy Soho, we've created the Douyin Chili Eating Challenge. Should you choose to accept, it will look a little something like this:

Think you can handle it? Here's what you need to do:

  1. Visit any of this year's participating spicy food vendors (see list below) between now and Jun 22;
  2. Tell them that you want to take the Douyin Chili Eating Challenge;
  3. The venue will provide you with three chilies, which you must film yourself eating before yelling an impassioned "辣节我来啦!" or "Spicy Fest, I’m coming!";
  4. Upload the video to Douyin and tag it with #pepperchallenge or #全网吃辣椒比赛 and @歪果老实人.
  5. Receive two free e-tickets to this year's Hot & Spicy Festival!

Too intimidating? Buy your tickets instead!

If that sounds too intimidating, save your tastebuds for the party by simply scanning the QR below and buying your tickets:

Advance tickets cost RMB 30 and come with a free sombrero (while stocks last!) so that you can be guaranteed to keep your cool (and look equally chill) come the big weekend.

Shut up already and tell me who's going to be there!

Note: This year, to prevent overcrowding and to promote social distancing, we will limit the number of people that can enter the venue at any one time. Once you scan the QR code below, please select your entrance time. You will be requested to "check-in" to the event during these hours, however, you will not be asked to leave at the conclusion of your allotted time.
