Stuff Your Mouth With These Sausages & Hot Dogs at Sausage Fest, Part One

Sausage Fest is almost one week away and we have an amazing lineup of sausage and hot dog vendors in store! In this look at the first half of our 40+ vendors, we’ve got everything from traditional German sausages to classic hot dogs to Thai sausages, Pakistani sausages, African sausages and more! Basically, we've got a whole bunch of succulent links of meat for you to stuff into your mouth. So grab your bun, muster your mustard, and join us on a journey through this wurst wonderland!

Paulaner Bräuhaus Beijing 普拉那啤酒坊

With over 32 years of bringing authentic Bavarian cuisine to the capital, Paulaner Bräuhaus certainly know their way around a sausage or two. In fact, they even have their own butchers in the Kempinski Hotel Yansha Center who craft all their sausages from scratch. At the fest, they’ll be offering a Cheese Sausage Hot Dog as well as an impressive five types of sausage: Currywurst, Nürnberger, Garlic Thuringian, Chinese BBQ Sausage with Cumin and Fried Frankfurter Sausage Bowl

The Cheese Sausage Hot Dog is a must-try: a true German hot dog with homemade kaesekrainer  –  a sausage made from minced pork mixed with Emmenthal cheese, which is then pocked while cooking allowing the cheese to ooze out and create a crispy crust, all served with fresh relish and sweet caramelized onions. On the sausage front, you can’t beat their Currywurst featuring their famous curry sauce made with tomatoes, spices and a few other secret ingredients. 

For the perfect accompaniment to their sausages, they’ll also have a selection of their home-brewed Bavarian beer like the Paulaner Bräuhaus Lager, a golden, malty beer that’s suitable for all seasons.  


Puff & Chill

Experience the bold flavors of Pakistan at Sausage Fest with Puff & Chill’s signature LAHORI Seekh Kabab Hot Dog. Inspired by the traditional street food of Lahore, it’s made with tender chicken and mutton, infused with a blend of aromatic spices, herbs, and a hint of cumin, topped with tangy chutney in a hot dog bun. Or there is the Chicken and Mutton Seekh Kabab Sausage spiced with cumin, coriander, and cinnamon and served with crispy naan bread and chutney. Along with sausages, they’ll have some special Corona cocktails. 


BRAUHAUG 甲丁坊新德餐吧

BRAUHAUG will have two hot dogs and two sausages at the fest. On the hot dog front, they’ve got a Chili Cheese Hot Dog and a Tuna Hot Dog, the former of which dollops chili made from Angus beef over a Frankfurter sausage all finished with Cheddar cheese. On the sausage front, they’ve got a Bremen Veal Sausage and a German Cheese Sausage, which both come with a serving of sauerkraut. Aside from hot dogs and sausages, they’ll have a range of snacks, beers, cocktails and soft drinks.


Arrow Factory Brewing 箭厂啤酒

Arrow Factory will be serving up a selection of their signature Stuff’d sausages at the fest, including The Herbie English, a classic English banger with a load of fresh herbs; The Sage, a German Bratwurtish-style sausage; The Siesta, a Spanish Chorizo influenced recipe with smoked paprika and red wine; and The Spice of Life, featuring fresh chilies and spices with potato and mushrooms. They’ll also have a range of their Arrow Craft Beers to wash it all down with. 


Brotzeit German Bier Restaurant 博璨德国啤酒餐厅

German restaurant Brotzeit is bringing three kinds of hot dogs to the fest: Chorizo Sausage Hot Dog, Currywurst Hot Dog and the China & German Friendship which switches out your usual hot dog bun for a youtiao instead! The Currywurst Hot Dog has been exclusively created for the fest: currywurst and sauerkraut sandwiched together nicely in a hot dog bun. 

Along with hot dogs, they’ll also have a Sausage Platter made up of a trio of sausages: Thuringer, Nuremberg and a Chicken and Cheese Sausage crafted by Chef Alex, which is a particular favorite among children. The platter comes with a side of German potato salad. To go with your hot dog or sausages they’ll have a refreshing Karlsbräu Pilsner or, if you’re feeling more fruity, a Pineapple Beer Cocktail.  


The Local Cocktail Bar and Eatery

Priding themselves on good ol’ fashioned American grub, The Local will have regional hot dogs from across the US – think New York, Chicago, and more. This list of dogs will also include The Local Classic, made with crispy fried onions, savory pickle relish, Dijon Mustard and fresh shredded lettuce. To help you cool down in the heat they will also have Frozen Strawberry Daiquiris and Passionfruit Mojitos.


Dastaan 达斯坦印度餐厅

Offering up some Indian spice at the fest will be Dastaan with the Murgh Seekh Kakori Hot Dog. It's a tandoori chicken minced kebab combined with pickle spiced mayonnaise and fresh veggies all inside a hot dog bun. They'll also be serving the Tangra Chicken Chili Sausage Skewer, a grilled chicken sausage served with hot and sour chili sauce and fresh bell pepper.

Sausage Fest will also see the return of their Corona Sunrise Cocktail, which proved extremely popular at Taco Fest. It combines Corona, tequila, orange juice, grenadine and lime juice. A fun twist on a classic Tequila Sunrise that’s citrusy and sweet, it’s an ideal drink for summer! 


Oh My Dog OMD热狗站

Hot Dog experts Oh My Dog have created two exclusive hot dogs for Sausage Fest: the "XXXL" Godzilla Dog, an extra large version of their NYC Dog, and the Philly Cheese Steak "Dog", plus they'll have three of their classic hot dogs too: the OMDCheesy Dog and Sexy Dog. Of the classics, their recommended one to try is the Sexy Dog, a Mexican inspired hot dog that piles corn chips, guacamole, and jalapeño on one of their signature sausages. Aside from hot dogs, they’ll have Classic NachosSignature Bolognese Nachos and a few drinks that are perfect for cooling off like a Sparkling Grape Lime TeaMint & Lime Sparkling Punch and Sparkling Pineapple & Passion Fruit Lime Tea.


Berlin Bites 柏林百特

Berlin street eats experts Berlin Bites will be creating two exclusive hot dogs for the festival. The first is the Currywurst Dog, which takes their famous currywurst and transforms it into hot dog form. A fried pork sausage is slathered in their homemade currywurst sauce and topped with curry powder and fried onions before it's stuffed inside a hot dog bun for a modern yet familiar take on the iconic German dish. If you want to save yourself from the carbs, they’ll have their traditional Currywurst too. 

Their other hot dog is the Spicy Chicken Dog, which features popcorn chicken doused in their signature spicy döner sauce and topped with onions and a dash of herbs for those that love a tangy spicy dog to go with a cold beer. Other items up for grabs will be Thuringer Sausage, served the classic way with mustard on the side; and Bierbeisser – a favorite German snack comprised of flavor packed dry-aged sausages which will be available as a package deal with their beers for the perfect pairing. 


TRIBE GARDEN Restaurant &Lounge 部落花园非洲餐吧酒廊

TRIBE GARDEN is putting an African spin on sausages and hot dogs at the fest with their Afro Goat Hot Dog, Afro Beef Hot Dog, Afro Grilled Goat Sausages and Afro Grilled Beef Sausages. All of their hot dogs and sausage are halal and the goat varieties are a must try, with the goat meat being blended with local African spices to create a sausage you won’t find anywhere else! Aside from sausages and hot dogs, they'll have their signature Fried African Plantains too. If you want something to sip on they’ll have Virgin Mojitos (mango or peach), other non-alcoholic drinks and a range of cocktails and beer.


Big Naughty Dogg

Bonjour! Big Naughty Dogg presents their Truffle Dog as the star attraction. This exclusive creation for Sausage Fest features black truffle mayo made from select truffles from the Provence de France, smoked turkey ham, crispy onion crumble, and bacon bits atop classic dog. Alongside this specialty, they will offer a variety of classic meat options, including the House DogCheese DogKraut Dog, and Peking Dog. Additionally, for vegetarians attending the fest, they'll cater for them with their Grilled Tofu Dog, which swaps out sausage for grilled tofu and is topped with grilled onions, BBQ sauce, mayo, and crispy onion bits. To complement their offerings, they'll have a selection of drinks available, such as Craft BeerIced Drip CoffeeCoffee Mojito and Lemon Soda


Great Leap Brewing 大跃啤酒 

Great Leap will have two hot dogs on their menu at Sausage Fest, the Great Leap’s Champion Beef Chili Dog, which slathers their secret chili on top of a classic hot dog sausage and completes the ensemble with a generous helping of Gouda cheese and the Meatatarian Dog. To pair with their hot dogs they’ll of course also have a select range of some of their signature brews.


Rak Thai•Thai Home Cuisine 爱泰风•泰式家常菜

Injecting some Thai flavor into the festival we have Rak Thai, who will have Sai Ua, aka Northern Thai sausage, at the fest. Renowned as one of Thailand's most flavorful sausages, Sai Ua tantalizes the taste buds with its exquisite blend of premium pork and an abundance of fragrant herbs and spices. Carefully crafted with fresh ingredients including lemongrass, galangal, garlic, and makrut lime leaf each sausage just bursts with the authentic flavors of Northern Thailand. As well as Sai Ua, Rak Thai will have a range of Thai drinks available including Thai Milk Tea, Butterfly Pea & Pandan Drinks and Singha Beer.


DELI NYC 纽约三明治

New York sandwich shop DELI NYC will be serving up five American varieties of hot dogs at the fest including the New York Chili Cheese Dog and the Chicago Hot Dog. There’s nothing quite as hearty and delicious as a solid, loaded New York Chili Cheese Dog, where a hot dog bun is piled with a hot dog sausage, chunky and flavorful chili, and gooey cheese. It’s the classic American experience that you can find at lots of diners across the US, ballparks and food stalls. The combination of soft bread with chunky ground beef chili, hot dog sausage, and bites of onions and parsley is hearty and satisfying. The chili cheese dog is the quintessential American food that will please both kids and adults alike.


COMMUNE 幻师

COMMUNE will have their Signature Meat Sauce Hot Dog on the menu at Sausage Fest, which is a classic hot dog topped with their secret meat sauce, pickles and a drizzle of yellow mustard and a German Basil Sausage. Some of their craft brews will make up the drinks department, including their newest custom craft beer the Peanut Milk Stout, which features a base of chocolate and caramel malt, complemented by a concentrated peanut butter with no chemical additives. A rich beer with notes of coffee and dark chocolate, it’s almost like having a dessert in beer form. For non-drinkers, they’ll have a summery Coconut Smoothie.


Latina Brazilian Steakhouse Latina 巴西牛排馆

Bringing the flavors of South America to the fest is Latina, who will have two offerings. The first is the Choripan, a grilled pork sausage covered in chimichurri and nestled in a French baguette, pretty much the Argentine answer to the hot dog. The second is Brazilian Sausage, a pork sausage infused with Brazilian spices it’s an essential item for any churrasco aka Brazilian barbecue. To help you cool off they’ll be serving refreshing Caipirinhas as well.


MOKA BROS’ TOP DOG 摩卡站(热狗站)

MOKA BROS’ TOP DOG, the hot dog focused offshoot from popular healthy food spot MOKA BROS’ has got a whopping five different hot dogs up for grabs at the festival: The Classic, Eat Like Mexicans, Aloha Hawaii, Taste of Italy and Korean Kimchi and Pork. Their recommended one to try is the Aloha Hawaii, a hot dog sausage combined with roasted pineapple, red onion and a drizzle of maple syrup. In the sausage department they’ve got three available at the fest: a Hot Dog Sausage, Italian Sausage and Chorizo Sausage

If you’re looking for a caffeine hit then they’ve got Cold Brew Coffee, or if you’re after something of the alcoholic variety they've got a Lychee Cocktail plus a great selection of gin and tonics including Classic Gin TonicGrape Gin TonicPasion Fruit Gin TonicRed Gin Tonic and Summer Prune Gin Tonic.


LA PLATEA 兰蒂地中海餐吧

It’s all about the chorizo at Mediterranean eatery LA PLATEA, who will be offering up a Chorizo & Grilled Cheese Hot Dog and Chorizo Tapas. For the hot dog, they’re pairing their chorizo, which is seasoned with paprika, chilies and other spices, with grilled cheese inside a crispy focaccia bun; and as for the tapas, it’s served with pan-fried onions and spices. They’ll also have an Italian Sausage & Bell Peppers Hot Dog and for those with a sweet tooth two desserts: Nutella & Pistachio Pizzetta and Nutella & Pistachio Piadina, plus a range of craft beer and cocktails.


CANAL 

CANAL will be showcasing a German-Chinese fusion dish at the fest: Sausage and Sichuan Potato. It combines Thuringer sausage with fried potatoes drizzled in a special Sichuan spicy sauce and creamy cheese for a wonderful collision of East meets West. On the hot dog front, they’ll have the American Steak Hot Dog, which sees hand-cut beef paired with a rich sauce inside a hot dog bun. 


MORROW Grill & Cantina Taste of Mexico MORROW墨佬墨西哥餐厅

Mexican restaurant MORROW is keeping things simple with just one hot dog at the fest: the Big Bang, their version of a chili dog. It features a Mexican sausage nestled in a hot dog bun and then covered in their carefully crafted chili, which is made from Wagyu beef and stewed for eight hours, it can then be finished with your choice of toppings and condiments. To wash it down with, they’ll have a few beers including Great Leap Urban Forest and a pilsner. 


Wawabeer Taproom 哇哇兔精酿餐吧

Brewpub Wawabeer is putting a twist on classic flavors with their German-Style Hot Dog, which swaps out the usual hot dog bun for a handmade soda bread bun instead, stuffed inside is a basil-infused German sausage, sauerkraut and secret sauce. Along with their hot dog they’ll have an Apple Wood-Smoked Sausage, a Thuringer sausage infused with applewood smoke and served with a traditional side of sauerkraut.


Hi-Town Bistro 海塘无国界餐吧

Hi-Town Bistro will be offering two hot dogs at the fest: a Spanish Beef Hot Dog and a Chicago Hot Dog, as well as a plethora of sausages: Bremen Veal Sausage, Cheese Krainer, Brazilian Sausage, Duesseldorf Pork Sausage and Pork Sausage with Black Pepper. The Spanish Beef Hot Dog has been created exclusively for the fest and sees an Australian grain-fed beef sausage infused with a blend of spices and paired with red wine caramelized onions.


Yu Chang Roasted Chicken King 裕昌烧鸡店

Established way back in 1981, Yu Chang Roasted Chicken King originally specialized in Harbin cuisine, but they've since become a nationally renowned food brand. They’ll be bringing Yuchang Red Sausage and Grilled Red Sausage to the fest. They use traditional Harbin red sausages which have been smoked with fruitwood, giving the sausage a rich, smoky flavor. The Grilled Red Sausages are sliced on the sides and then topped with a sprinkling of Chinese spices.
