We told you a few weeks back that there would be Premier League football in Beijing this summer – now we have more details on tickets. If you want to beat the ticket touts and save your pockets a pounding, here's your chance to get in while the going is good.

While you can't actually purchase the tickets yet, the phone number for ordering them is active (and the operators speak English). Book your tickets by calling 400 818 3333 from a telephone right now.

Tickets are priced from RMB 180 to the improbably Olympic price of RMB 2,012. We suggest that you definitely get your tickets this week. Come next Sunday, demand is bound to rocket when Manchester City become a bandwagon really worth jumping on.

The ground was full for the Supercoppa Italiana last August and that was only slightly more meaningful than this pre-season friendly. It's never really a case of will they fill the stadium more will they actually sell all of the tickets. Based on past experience, the Bird's Nest will be full for the match but a lot of those tickets will have been given away.

The Birds Nest has an 80,000 capacity (91,000 if they put back int the temporary seating used for the Olympics). Does anyone expect this stadium to be full when they are charging these prices and the game is going to be on TV anyway???
