Another Knife Attack Injures Four Near Carrefour

Xinhua and Global Times report that there's been yet another stabbing spree mirroring the incident that took place near Joy City last week as well as an incident in May in which a knife-wielding assailant stabbed two people to death near Guangqumen and died himself from injuries.

According to the Global Times report a "knife-wielding man allegedly injured four people, including two children" and Xinhua says the suspect is a Beijing local "surnamed Wang" who was born in 1963.

Beijing has enjoyed a reputation of being relatively safe for a city of its size, but with reports of attacks, assaults and bombings on the rise this notion is quickly being dispelled. Be careful out there.

The other boy, 12, was stabbed in his back while the last victim, the 24-year-old man, was injured in his chest and waist.

None of the early reports we referenced at the time of posting specified the location but this link says it was in the Maliandao Carrefour.

There are quite a few Carrefours in Beijing. It really would be nice to know which one the attack happened at.

time to outlaw knifes. I guess you go to buy a kitchen knife next week, you might need a note from your doctor..
