Capital Bites: The Weekend Sausage Edition

It's been Week of the Sausage – a weird phrase and concept, sure, but it's true and it's piled on enough new news to merit another quick Capital Bites' update.

Over on Jianchang Hutong near Andingmen, Stuff'd is now open for lunch on weekdays and is offering a few deals. The handmade sausage meal is RMB 55 and comes with a soft drink, chips and a small salad with your choice of one of their four sausages in a baguette. Salads are RMB 38 (Garden) or RMB 45 (Watercress) and sandwiches are RMB 55-65. Stuffed or flat pizza is RMB 58.

Two Guys and a Pie are working with Balmain Gourmet Sausages in what they have termed "a strategic partnership" to widen their delivery areas for all customers involved. You don't have to order both products, but all the goods will be available for delivery to Xicheng in the west, Shunyi in the northeast, Yayuncun in the north and down to Jinsong in the south. Sign up at piesandsangasbeijing@gmail.com with the subject line "I have the munchies" to get on their weekly mailing list for delivery times, special offers and the available products.

Around the corner from Two Guys, Tavalin Bagels and Andy's Craft Sausages have launched their breakfast sausage, egg and cheese sandwich, fitting for Tavalin's new hours from 8am-8pm. Ostensibly you could get a breakfast sandwich for lunch or dinner, but I hear they've been selling out quick, so I wouldn't wait that late in the day. Today (Saturday August 3), they will be hosting a Tavalin Bagels Sausage Sizzler. Starts at 7pm and expect Italian sausages with peppers and onion on a special bagel bun and, naturally, beer.
