The Beijinger Sends You to The China Open

Beijing's best regularly-scheduled sporting event, the China Open, got underway Sunday, wtih the first matches being played by participants in the China Junior 16 tournament.

This year's event promises to be particularly exciting, with world men's no. 1 Novak Djokovic, U.S. Open men's winner Rafael Nadal, U.S. Open women's winner Serena Williams, and of course hometown favorite and U.S. Open women's semi-finalist Li Na all slated to participate. The main action gets underway Friday night, with Djokovic and Li facing each other in a Battle of the Sexes exhibition match.

Tickets are still available to that event and many other China Open matches. Unfortunately while their information site is bilingual, ticketing is in Chinese only. However, tennis fans can use the Damai.cn site to order tickets in English. All matches take place at the China National Tennis Center on the North Fifth Ring Road.

The Beijinger decided to make it easier for two lucky readers to get tickets: we have two Diamond Court VIP passes to give away for the evening session of October 4, which sounds like quarter-finals and semi-finals to us. You may not be close enough to high-five Nadal, but they're sweet seats and a good time should be had by all.

To win these two passes: send an e-mail to win@thebeijinger.com no later than 12 noon on Friday, September 27 with the correct answers to this simple, two-part question: Who were the men's and women's singles title winners of the 2012 China Open (Tennis)? You must get both answers right and beat the deadline in order to be eligible to win. Good luck!
