Gooey bone marrow ... ffh ffh ffh ... washed down with a nice Chianti
and possibly a portion of fava beans
Is it just me or does Feast (Food by EAST) really have the semi-buffet concept down? Following on from their pretty popular seafood nights, they have introduced a monthly steak night, held on the second Friday of every month, meaning that the next one is coming up next week on October 10.
The deal is this: pay RMB 238 (plus 15 percent service charge) for your choice of steak main, plus access to the buffet starters and desserts. There's something for everyone among the mains: beef Wellington, steak tartare, rib-eye Bordelaise, filet mignon, even a vegetarian option, but I really hope you'll have no need for that.
I chose the rib-eye Bordelaise, which was a frankly crazy portion for the price. The plate came with a huge steak drenched in red wine sauce, a portion of gooey bone marrow, and a side of potato gratin. Make sure to book in advance as this one will fill up fast.
