EAT: A New Look for Comptoirs de France, New Location for Blue Frog

French bakery chain Comptoirs de France has quietly had a bit of a brand overhaul, coming up with a classic black and white color scheme across their stores and packaging that celebrates their French heritage (think old-school illustrations and potted product histories). Having called into the Chaoyang Park branch earlier this month, it’s safe to say the bread and patisseries are as good as ever – sometimes it’s nice to be reminded why an old favorite became a favorite in the first place.

Elsewhere, the latest Blue Frog location in Ocean International is now well and truly open following their official opening party last Thursday. If you've been to a Blue Frog before then you know the drill  solid international food options, two-for-one Burger Mondays, daily happy hour – but they also have a couple of interesting things coming up to look out for. Firstly, their new winter menu will be out on December 15. Expect warming dishes like seafood and mushroom risotto. Also of interest is a menu of twelve cocktails based around different monthly birthstones, available from December 22. We'll definitely be back to check those out.
