We could yarn on about how we’ve had some impressive events this year, or we could shut up and let these pictures say their thousand words themselves. The Beijinger would of course like to thank each and every photographer who has helped contribute to these and many other galleries; without your snaps we’d have a hard pressed time truly explaining how awesome Beijing can be. The Beijinger 2014 Pizza Cup Launch Party

We endeavoured to find the hottest dough slinger in the land, and set forth a challenge to all those in Beijing who thought they could pieface the competition. Our Pizza Cup Launch saw some of the collective 64 vendors lay down pizza to voracious crowds. In the end it was Gung Ho! Gourmet Pizza Factory (叫板披萨) who pepper-owned and took out first place.

The Beijinger's Third Annual Chili Eating Contest

Cody Owens and Byron Logue tied for first place after swallowing a scorching 25 chilies each and becoming worthy of holding the title 'Master(s) of Spice'.

The Beijinger Burger Cup Launch Party 2014

A big, juicy, competition to separate the mince from the meat, our third Burger Cup kicked off with a launch party that saw vendors bring their burger game faces to some salivating crowds as a warm up to the vigorous culling that was to take place. In the final heat it was the mighty Home Plate Bar-B-Q who moonwalked out the door with a threepeat victory.

The annual Reader Restaurant Awards brought couture back to Beijing as the glitz and glam of this city's dining realm gathered to receive their well deserved accolades and mix and mingle with one another.

Arrrrrrriba, andale! Galaxy SOHO hosted our 'Brazil Nuts' themed annual Reader Bar & Club Awards where dancers were shake-shake-shakin' their thang while party-goers and bar owners slammed back some drinks and had a good ol' revelry.
