The 10 Best WeChat Stickers and Their Most Appropriate Uses

Although many stickers generate a laugh, they never get used again. And a lot of the time stickers get used in the wrong context. However, with this handy guide these might! Check out our top 10 stickers most appropriate for these situations (PC-ish situations, for non-PC situations you’ll have to figure it out yourselves). That's why we went the extra mile to help you avoid any more social awkwardness than you already do.

1. 'Que?' cat

Occasion: When you are confused, when someone has typed something in Chinese in an English-only group chat, when you suspect that someone typed their message into the wrong conversation, when someone's drunk so much tequila that they've lost the ability to communicate in any sensical way. This sticker would also be good to have in real life when someone comes up to you on the street and tries to practice their English with you. Moments like that I wish I could turn into a cat with a sombrero and shout 'Que?'

2. Kim Kardashian getting thrown into a toilet

Occasion: When the other person has said something absolutely ludicrous, such as “I’m not drinking tonight,” or “It’s just one casual drink, yeah?” Or when someone talks about adding your boss into the group chat.

3. Tiny dancing cat with hat (glowsticks and disco lights optional)

Occasion: When you’re happy or something good has happened. For example, when you find a RMB 100+ taxi fapiao, when your Chinese class is canceled unexpectedly, or when you discover that your phone still works even though you were convinced that you had no credit.

4. Mind blown

Occasion: Pretty self-explanatory  when you’re mind is blown about something that just shouldn't be, like when the taxi driver actually understood your destination, or when the taxi doesn’t smell like bum.

5. Butt flip cup twerk

Occasion: When you’re feeling bored, so basically this is a generally acceptable sticker to send all of the time. It is best sent when planning house parties though, preferably to a large group so that everyone can see how excited you are about seeing them flipping cups with their butts.

6. Barney from How I Met Your Mother shooting himself in the face

Occasion: When you’re doing something you don’t want to, or when you’re on the subway at any time of the day, in a bank trying to sort out a name or telephone number adjustment, at a business dinner avoiding baijiu, or your bank card gets swallowed by an ATM. Or if you have to eat a convenience store sandwich for lunch.

7. I’m a bussss, s*ck my d*ck

Occasion: When you’ve escaped doing that thing you really didn’t want to do, got off the subway, found a taxi in the end, made it out of the medical health check center in Xierqi alive, or ran away from the business dinner. Or when you’ve retrieved that lost ATM card from the bank.

8. Kittens with big eyes

Occasion: When you want someone to bring you some dumplings, or when a colleague has gone out for lunch and you want them to bring you back some bubble tea. Or if you have to apologize for missing somebody’s birthday party, engagement party, wedding, or similar important life events.

9. The cat DJ

Occasion: When arranging to DJ at a party, looking for someone who can DJ, or just when you want to watch a cat DJing.

10. F*ck the world, I am a panda

Occasion: All occasions you could ever imagine. Because f*ck the world, you’re a panda.

Happy sticker hunting!

Image too big! How do you get these gifs into WeChat as stickers?

I was going to ask the same thing. As far as I know, none of these are stickers in WeChat -- I've got a million but none are animated GIFs like the above. My choices are limited to cartoons fed to me by the WeChat app. Am I missing something?

PS: thanks, I read this post with my 7-year-old who loves WeChat stickers (100% of which are family friendly). She immediately screamed "suck my dick!" when she read #7.

You can't get them from here, you have to receive them from a friend and then save them as stickers, hence 'happy hunting'.

I can assure you they are all stickers, and we found the gif versions for the blog.

I used to use this handy resizer to get them under 500 KB:

But unfortunately it looks like it might be blocked now Beee "Error establishing a database connection." Perhaps someone else will have better luck. Anyway, a simple search for "gif resizer" should yield plenty of other options.

Here's how you upload gifs to a phone

1. Download gif (save to your desktop)

2. Log on to Wechat from here:

3. Upload gif and send through file transfer

4. ???

5. Profit!!!

You're welcome
