Great Deals, New Brunch at Farm to Neighbors' One-Year Anniversary at Modernista, July 12

Farm to Neighbors, which started as little more than a side project for founder Erica Huang out of Wujin Art Space on Jianchang Hutong, has grown into one of Beijing's most popular weekly farmer's markets and meeting spaces for people concerned with local and organic produce. This Sunday, June 12, they are celebrating their one-year anniversary with a special market featuring deals from some of their most popular vendors.

Just some of the deals include:

  • Mr. and Mrs. Bear's Bakery, who make all their breads with natural leaven sourdough, will be offering free cookies and cakes with all purchases, as well as buy-two-get-one-free French baguettes.
  • Yuangu Valley Farms will be giving away a free bag of handmade organic noodles with any purchase over RMB 100.
  • Get 20 percent off stone-ground handmade tofu products and Yunnan high-mountain wild teas.

To mark the occasion, Modernista will also be launching their brand new brunch menu. The sets, priced RMB 60-75, include dishes such as eggs benedict with Parma ham, vegetarian quiche, pancakes, homemade sausages, smoked salmon blini, asparagus with bacon, and homemade ravioli. All sets have the option to add coffee or tea, mint or cucumber lemonade, detox juices, or aperitif cocktails for RMB 10-35.

They will be giving away up to 40 vouchers for 50 percent off the brunch menu. Additionally, all those who try the brunch menu will receive a voucher for sparkling wine with brunch, worth RMB 50.
