Bikini-Clad Women Roam Wild through Jianwai SOHO

Some things never change. First there was the Sweetie Salad, scantily-clad Spartans publicity stunt in July, which resulted in the mass arrest of many of said Spartans. And now, Tuesday, we have the scantily-clad bikini babes roaming around Jianwai SOHO, complete with scannable QR codes on their butts.

As would be expected, and planned, the photos of the women, are going viral on WeChat and other social media. The publicity campaign is for a food ordering app, 内什么 Nei Shenme, generated from the slang of the same phrase, which is loosely used to start a sentence, like "Hey you know what?"

The writing on the women's backs says, "内什么用我," which would refer to the name of the app, and "use me," directing the beholder to scan the QR code on the backside. My mother would not approve of this kind of thing.

The app is available via at least the Apple US and China App Stores. For an app going the tawdry route, its service actually seems quite dignified. See screenshots below.

We have to feel somewhat sorry for the models, even though they were allegedly paid RMB 800 each for the walkabout. Seeing how cold the women in our office are (and many of the men) with their coats on, it's not exactly beach weather outside.

But because they were locals, they didn't require an immediate propaganda opportunity takedown like the Spartans. Instead, they were all rounded up by the police today, questioned, warned & released.... True story

The cleanest, meanest, leanest, obscenest and most heinous penis....

they should have used russian women,,, at least they have curves...

I agree the butt is a bad place for the QR code. It would be better if they put their butts on my face.

The curvature of the female butt makes it a very ineffectual place to put a QR code. Midsections would have been a wiser choice, with the app's own butt-like logo used on the posterior.
