EAT: Get Your Great Leap Pizza Delivered; Great British Carnivore's Club

If, like me, you pine for Great Leap's pizza but rarely find yourself in the Liangmaqiao area, then get ready to get excited because they now deliver via Jinshisong! They've got seven varieties of 16-inch pizzas to choose from (RMB 100-130) and you can add on a liter of Honey Ma Gold for RMB 85. With the cold weather we've been having recently we can see this being extremely popular.

If you do manage to get out of the house, make sure it's to go to the Great British Carnivore's Club, a one-off collaboration between EAST Beijing and the British Embassy's Food is GREAT campaign this Thursday, November 5. EAST's Rob Cunningham has teamed up with Scott Melvin, executive chef of Jason Atherton's Table No. 1 and The Commune Social in Shanghai, to create a four course menu based around British pork (RMB 238 plus 15 percent surcharge). Check out the menu at the event listing – we're looking forward to trying the pork wellington with black pudding.

On the same night, wine lovers should head over to Caravan, where they are teaming up with up-and-coming Ningxia winery Kanaan for a five course wine paired dinner. Tickets are RMB 350 presale, which is a great deal for some tasty Moroccan food and the chance to try, in my opinion, some of the best wines coming out of China right now.

Finally, on Saturday, November 7, Factory (by Salt) are bringing back their famous feijoada brunch (RMB 150 per person). Often named as one of Brazil's national dishes, feijoada is a hearty combination of black beans, salted pork, sausage, veg, and more.
