Brasserie FLO Still Available for Saturday's Chi Fan For Charity

It's the day before the big event, and there's still time to get seats at Brasserie FLO and a few other great restaurants with available space for Saturday night's Chi Fan For Charity.

How good a restaurant is Brasserie FLO? In the last two years, FLO, on Xiaoyun Lu, has won nine awards at the Beijinger Reader Restaurant Awards, including Outstanding awards in the following categories: Best French (Fine Dining); Best Service (Non-Chinese Cuisine); Best Value for Money (Fine Dining); Best Wine List; Best Business Lunch; Best Restaurant of the Year (Fine Dining/Non-Chinese); Best Overseas Import Fine Dining. Not many Beijing dining outlets can claim so many awards in such a short period of time.

Brasserie FLO is also preparing a superb five-course menu for the event, pictured below:

Brasserie FLO is available for a donation of RMB 1,000 per person. The restaurant is also very close to the afterparty at EAST Hotel Beijing. See which remaining restaurants have seats, along with the complete list of participating restaurants and table hosts, and buy tickets here.

Set for the evening of Saturday, November 7, this annual event follows a simple formula: Restaurants donate a three-course meal with wine for a party of eight to 12, along with free admission to the after-party at Xian, featuring free-flow cocktails and live music. Each table is hosted by a community personality. Every participant pays RMB 500 to 1,500 per person, depending on the venue, with all of that money going directly to that year's charity partners.

This year's charity partners are Educating Girls of Rural China (EGRC), which has sponsored over 500 young women from poor rural regions of Western China to achieve high school and university education with 100 percent graduation rate; and Bethel China Foundation, which serves the blind and visually impaired orphaned population throughout China by providing a sustainable solution for each sponsored child.

Founded in 2009 with a mission of giving back to the Beijing community, Chi Fan for Charity (CFFC) is a modern take on the standard concept of a large, gala charity dinner. To date, Chi Fan for Charity has donated more than RMB 3,700,000 to local beneficiaries with 100 percent of table proceeds going directly to our designated charities.

The Beijinger is proud to be the exclusive media sponsor for Chi Fan For Charity for the third consecutive year.
