Next Week in Weather: Smog, Snow, and a Low of -12 Degrees Celsius

Following the false snow alarm earlier this month, it looks set to snow on Monday (Nov 21) instead. This time we're hoping it is for real, because we do love snow.

It also looks like the predicted coldest winter since 2012 is coming into fruition, with next week's lowest temperatures dropping to around -11 and -12 degrees Celsius. Make sure you're wrapping up, especially in the mornings and evenings.

Unfortunately, these cold conditions also come paired with bad air pollution, as an orange weather warning has been called for today, November 17.

This is the third level on the four-tier alert system, temporarily halting outdoor activities in elementary and middle schools, and reminding the public to generally be aware of their health (and how it's slowly seeping away from them).

Pollution looks to be worst this afternoon according to AirVisual with relief predicted for later on Saturday afternoon.

If you're more of a visual person, AirVisual has added a new air pollution map feature that allows you to see pollution and wind patterns on a global scale.
