Monday, December 5

Mini North Korean Film Festival
The Bookworm and Koryo Tours present this mini North Korean Film Festival, spanning two weeks and five movies discussing travel in the Hermit Kingdom, propaganda, as well as Dennis Rodman's controversial visit. After the movies, there'll be Q&A sessions with a representative from Koryo Tours. The other films are scheduled for December 9 and 14. RMB 200 (all movies), RMB 50 (per individual movie). 7.30pm. Disablity, Gender, and Sexuality Film Salon: 2016 International Day of Persons with Disabilities Event
To celebrate International Day of Persons with Disabilities, three organizations (Handicap International, Beijing Gender Health Education Institute, and the Italian Institute of Culture) present the 2016 Disability, Gender, and Sexuality Film Salon. Screening of the documentary He + He will be followed by a discussion with several representatives from the disability and sexuality fields. Free (ID required at the entrance). 7-9.30pm. Basically Beethoven: Christmas Edition
The Bookworm hosts Beijing's only classical music open-mic night this month, with a festive twist. Join in with carol singing, sample The Bookworm's seasonal treats (mince pies and mulled wine!), or simply bask in the glory of some of Beijing's best international classical musicians.
