Taoist Life-Nourishing Exercise and Kungfu (pictured at top)
Start off your week right; practice an hour of wujiquan, a Taoist system of martial arts that is said to be beneficial for the muscles, sinews, joints, and internal organs in Ritan Park under instruction. Mental Health Peer Support Group
Life throws many challenges at you, but there is no reason to suffer alone when you can choose to join hands with others. CandleX is an NGO in Beijing that focuses on mental health, and meets bi-weekly. Email first to confirm attendance. Free. 7.30pm. U-Town Shopping Center

Tiananmen and the Making of Modern Bejiing: A Walk and Discussion at Tiananmen Square
The area about Tiananmen has been the political epicenter for the Chinese nation. This walk and discussion will take you through Beijing's history from its days as an imperial capital through to the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949 through the present day. 10am-1pm. German Centre Lecture Series: Chinese Archaeology
Dr. Patrick Wertmann, a research fellow in the Department of Chinese Classics at Renmin University, speaks on archeology’s integral role in China’s political agenda, discussing a selection of digs to illustrate the development of Chinese archeology. China's Asian Dream: Empire Building Along the New Silk Road
The European Chamber hosts a book talk on the new publication China’s Asian Dream by Tom Miller, senior analyst at Gavekal Research. Brawl on the Wall April 2017
