With the Chinese New Year holiday fast approaching, we’ve been getting a lot of questions about what’s going to be open and closed for the break.

While we do have a list of openings for restaurants participating in Cheesy Pizza Month, compiling a list of all the restaurants that’ll be open or closed is no easy task. Rest assured, a list will be out tomorrow, but we want to make sure we’ve got as much in there as possible.

That’s where you come in.

Know of spots that are open or closed? Let us know! Just shoot us a message via WeChat or add TBJButler on WeChat (QR code above) and send us what you know in the following format:

Restaurant Name
Closing Date – Reopening Date
Adjusted holiday hours (if any)

We’ll be running a list of openings and closings tomorrow, so don’t hesitate to reach out. Your knowledge will help those still in Beijing over the break know where they can grab a bite or a drink over the break.

There's a feral dog and his wife that gets fed by myself and at least 4 neighbor families. He won't touch anything except leftover meat. Seriously, he leaves food untouched that I'd go for if I found it in my fridge.

My Dad had a great line when somebody bitched and whined about their dinner, (usually my older brother) `Well if you don't like what your given to eat, go out in the garden and eat some worms'

Of course he had another line, used against me, maybe i am 6 or 7 years old. (We were in the car at the time).. `If you don't stop yer bellyaching, you can get outa the car and walk' To which I replied, `sure, stop the car, I'll walk' Which you wouldn't expect from a 6 year old, and which caused gales of laughter from brother and sister, polite snickers from Mother, and a red face in Father.

I've always been a keen walker.

now let me fill you in a bit. Back in hometown, cheapest, bestest, restaurant (in my opinion) was KwongChao (which is a basterdized, Anglofied version of Guangzhou, which is where the guy and his wife were from). Now there you could get a big plate of broccoli, green peppers, onion, garlic , heaps of mushroom, and a few bits of chicken meat. All in 5 minutes. All for 7 bucks. Mougugaipan， 蘑菇鸡片， . Now question is, why can't i walk around corner and get this here? All we gots is Macdonalds, fake Macdonalds, fake KFC, and garbage junk food candy stores.
