Michael Callahan Guest Shift at Union

American bar consultant and bartender Michael Callahan, best known as the founder of Singapore’s 24 Hongkong Street – ranked #24 on the Asia’s 50 Best Bars list – is headed to Sanlitun next Monday (Aug 7) for a guest shift at Union at the Opposite House for one night only. Come out to see some flair and try a tipple or two from this master mixologist while you’re at it.

Michael Callahan’s guest shift will be happening on Monday, Aug 7 from 8pm-midnight at Union. Entry is free.

Forno Debuts Weekly Summer Specials

Makers of pizza in pala and everything Roman in Bejiing, Forno, have just dropped some new weekly deals for summer. Deals include Pizza of the Week, with special discounts on a different Forno pizza each week; Pasta of the Week, pretty much the same deal but with one of Forno’s pastas; and finally, Panini Tuesdays, when you can enjoy all panini for RMB 48.

Extended Happy Hour at the Local

20 Beers in 30 Minutes Challange at Great Leap

Now happening at all Great Leap locations: the 20 Beers in 30 Minutes Challenge! The rules are simple, a team of one man and one woman must finish 20 150ml glasses of different beers in under 30 minutes throughout the month of August. Those who finish within the time limit will get their photo on Great Leap's Wall of Fame, plus they'll be entered into the final competition, in which the team with the fastest finishing time by the end of the month will win prizes.
