Is beijinghomedelivery or baodefood still in operation? It's difficult for me to confirm this from outside China. Both of their websites don't connect. Is there anyone using a grocery delivery service in Beijing they can recommend?

@David

Contacted server host - they say that their service is incompatible for some European countries and quoted quite a large fee for us to upgrade servers to make the site truly international.

I assure you that in the event you are physically in Beijing or Shanghai then our website will load properly - this is just another one of the things you take for granted while setting up a business in China that doesn't quite pan out.

Sorry if this causes you any inconvenience, you can email me directly for any queries at infobj@baodefood.com or just go to www.baodefood.com once you are in China.

Hope this resolves any issues.

You sure about that? Links work just fine for me.

@baodefood:

your website doesn't even work, and you expect us to believe your service is good ?

Try again !

Funny I didn't know tones carried over URLS, at least now I know that I've been typing in the incorrect tone and that's why www.baidu.com never seems to load for me. Smile

Now for my (2nd) shameless plug

www.baodefood.com offers both unique products and exceptional quality. We are a premier hotel and restaurant supplier in China and now the same food you are already eating at hotel brunches and your favorite restaurants is available at home.

Our cuts of Certified Angus Beef are massive, 3-4 times the size of your average beijing restaurant offering (not even including the cuts as large as 800 grams), we don't serve anything that's not premium - why we don't offer sirloin steak but just the most premium varieties: tenderloin, ribeye, striploin (NY Strip), cowboy steak (bone-in ribeye), porterhouse and t-bone.

We have US Natural Pork that's raised off glacial water in Montana and produces simply fantastic pork chops and ribs. As it's name indicates - it is natural and undergoes strict USDA inspection to ensure it's additive and hormone free in addition to being some of the most consistent pork available.

Our seafood is all additive free - ever purchased fish in China and see it shrivel up to a fraction of the original size? Our seafood won't do that.

We have loads more, organic sea salt, wine, smoked salmon and just try to find a better deal on Italian extra virgin olive oil than what we provide. We also provide turkeys around thanksgiving at around the same prices as other suppliers but ours come with a free bottle of Italian wine (request coupon calendar with order).

We bring in these products direct from the manufacturers ourselves and everything we sell with the exception of crab meat (which is harvested from South China Sea and processed in Hainan) is imported.

Try our steaks once and you'll never want to get them from anywhere else (except at the many restaurants which serve them as well)- our quality simply blows the competition out of the water as you can't get food of this quality from any other store in Beijing and I'll gladly send the Beijinger some steaks that they can grill up themselves if they don't believe me. Just be sure to tell me grain fed or grass fed and which type of cuts you prefer.

infobj@baodefood.com

P.S. We also don't patronize our clients by directing them to places to study Chinese. Instead we have a fully bilingual staff to process any orders, answer any questions and our website (which can also receive online orders) is in both Chinese and English and maintained by native speakers of both languages.

So we cleared up that it isn't "golden" then, that is the most important part of course! Blum 3

Gold is 金/Jin1 we are 锦/Jin3, so I respectfully disagree. However, if the tones still cause some confusion, I have found some beginner Mandarin lessons that I think that are quite useful.

Rotten name though ... sounds like "Golden Shit Delivery"

Sure thing Jerry. We have exceptional grammar in both English and Chinese. Not only does our website actually work, but it's exceptionally beautiful and tastefully designed, featuring up-to-date menus with accompanying pictures. No more guessing what your food will look like once it arrives.

All of our menu prices are the same as dining in and our delivery fees are the most competitive in the industry (for some partners, we even offer free delivery, like La Sushi). But most importantly, we will get the food to you faster than anyone else. But don't just take our word for it, try it for yourself now at www.jinshisong.com

We will be adding quality restaurants on a regular basis and we are also open to recommendations.

Thanks for sharing, we'll add you to our directory. But in the meantime, perhaps you can qualify your statement that your "clearly the best food delivery service in Beijing?"

Jerry Chan, Digital Marketing & Content Strategy Director

Sorry guys, but JinShiSong.com is clearly the best food delivery service in Beijing.

Baode, a company that specializes in importing and wholesaling the finest food products to top end restaurants and hotels throughout China now has a home delivery service for individual consumers within Beijing and Shanghai.

Please have a look at www.baodefood.com and view our products and prices. Our quality simply can't be beat in China and we'll deliver these top end and imported products to your door.

We have 16 types of steak available and that's just our beef selection.
