EAT: Tafelspitz and Kenny's Burgers to Open in Nali Patio

Spanish themed Nali Patio is looking a little less Spanish as it welcomes a burger joint and an Austrian restaurant.

Kenny's Burgers, on the ground floor, looks to be a classy interpretation of a typical burger joint, all open windows, blonde wood, and white stools. A couple of posts we saw on WeChat also praised the desserts. We'll be there to try it out soon.

Meanwhile, up on the fourth floor, Tafelspitz is bringing Austrian cuisine to Beijing for the first time. When they open, we can expect "authentic Austrian cuisine, European dishes, first-class service and a fine selection of original imported Austrian wines." According to their website, they will be open for business on June 26.

More unmissable dining events and promotions this week:

  • Laker's is celebrating five years in business with special deals across their nine locations around the city. Head by this Friday, June 12, for 40 percent off food all day, and free draft beer from 9-10pm.
  • Elsewhere in anniversary celebrations, Cuju is turning three and celebrating with a whole week of great deals, including all night happy hour on Friday, and an afternoon hutong barbecue (RMB 150 per person, RSVP in advance).
  • If you're looking for mound of food to get over the week's hump, Q Mex serves up half-price nachos every Wednesday from 5pm-2am. Choose from spicy beef, red chili shredded chicken, or roasted green pepper.
