UberGiving Supports Beijing Charities Roundabout and Lion Club this Weekend, Jan 9-10

If helping others was one of your New Year's resolutions, look no further. This weekend, Uber goes #UberGiving and puts their cars on the road to collect items from your home or office to be donated to Beijing's charities Roundabout China and Lion Club for free.

There's no better excuse to start your spring cleaning early: empty out those cupboards and donate the things you no longer use. It'll create more space for you in your likely already-cramped Beijing flat, and help others. Below is an poster showing the items that the charities need most. High up on the list are food items such as grain and oil, alongside sports goods, stationary and art supplies, electronic goods, books, and toys.

As if helping others isn't enough of a reason to get involved this weekend, Uber will also give you an Uber bear as a thanks.

The cars are available January 9 and 10, between 11am and 4pm through the app. All you have to do is slide the slider to 'giving,' an option which will be available from January 9. The cars will only be available within the Fourth Ring Road, and as demand will be high, Uber and the charities request that you be patient and keep trying.
