Panel Discussion on NGOs Operating in China (pictured at top)
This festive season, The Bookworm wants to highlight the amazing work of NGOs and charities based in China, welcoming the founders of three amazing NGOs, all of which help to improve the lives of those in need. The Bookworm invites you to join them for a panel discussion, where you'll learn how NGOs operate in China, hear about the difficulties they face, and find out how they raise money and awareness.

The panelists are Andrew Shirman from Education In Sight, an NGO solving education inequality in the countryside by providing glasses to nearsighted students; Ching Tien, from Educating Girls of Rural China, who help young women from rural areas of Western China to obtain an education; and Helen Boyle, from the Migrant Children’s Foundation (MCF), which aims to enrich the lives of disadvantaged children across China. The discussion will be moderated by Canadian businesswoman Laurie O’Donnell.
