For a noodle country, China's instant noodles are awful. Compare products from Japan, Thailand, and the US, and you'll wish Master Kong would go out of business and get it over with.
Noodles from Singapore are not bad too.
Shin Ramyun is a god. I don't eat lot of Asian food when I'm in America but Shin Ramen is an exception.
Good ones in China are 老坛酸菜牛肉面 especially served in a wang ba (internet cafe) with a xiaomaibu style, 1-kuai, shuanghui huotuichang and a lu dan (卤蛋, soy sauce/tea marinated boiled egg) and 白象酸辣粉丝 which, though, is criminally unhealty....
I can't remember how many days I spent in a wangba with a 老坛酸菜牛肉面 after getting off work at TBJ's office in Tuanjiehu. Sometimes I browsed TBJ during game intervals which from time to time drew rubbernecks.
