Bon App, for All Your Restaurant Recommendation and Review Needs, Launches in Beijing

Bon App, a platform for restaurant reviews and for foodies to connect, has now gone live in Beijing, following its launch across other destinations in Asia, including Shanghai, Tokyo, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taipei, Macau, and Guangzhou.

Through the app, you can review restaurants and bars, book tables, and check-in at F&B establishments around town. A feed that contains your bookings can be shared among your contacts and friends so that you can keep in touch and recommend new experiences easily, as well as see what everyone else is up to.

The app sets itself apart from competitors by being much more than just a dining app. The aim is for users to forge genuine friendships through posting reviews, and then taking those friendships offline at meets for the foodie community organized by the team behind the app.

For Beijing, the first of such meets is planned for this summer (we'll keep you updated once a date has been announced).

Hopes are that the majority of reviewers will be long-term residents of the city, rather than tourists, leading to insights written by those with the expertise and knowledge of the ins and outs of Beijing's culinary scene.

Posting reviews will get you points and badges through the app. The most active users become power users, who will in turn be rewarded with free tastings at the city's newest and hottest restaurants.

Now's the time to join as the app is currently rewarding users in Beijing, Hong Kong, Macau, and Guangzhou with triple points for reviews. Also, if you refer five of your friends to Bon App, you'll also get a RMB 200 restaurant voucher – what better reason is there to get started?

Bon App is a sponsor of the Beijinger's 2017 Burger Cup, held at Galaxy Soho on both May 20 and 21, from 11am to 8pm.
