Forget Taco Tuesday we’ve got a whole weekend of taco fun coming to Tiantongyuan Culture and Arts Center (天通苑文化艺术中) on May 20-21 and early bird tickets are now on sale! This is the FIRST EVER Taco Fest in the capital so you do not want to miss out on this food-and-fun-packed weekend.

Along with tickets now being on sale, we’re also excited to announce our official Taco Fest mascot: Rong Momo! She’s a super cute type of salamander native to Mexico called the axolotl (pronounced ak-sul-lot-ul).

! Everyone at the fest will receive a Taco Passport where you collect a stamp/sticker for each taco you buy, the first 50 people each day to fill out the passport will win a Rong Momo plushie. Then the next 250 people to fill out a passport will win a taco-themed magnet

At Taco Fest there will be 20+ vendors on site with some of the capital’s very best taco purveyors serving up a whole range of their most popular tacos. There will also be plenty of drinks on offer to wash all that taco goodness down with – think beer, margaritas, and more!

As is always the case with our food festivals we have a great line-up of interactive entertainment with live music, DJs, dancing, and games. 

Location

The Taco Fest will be taking place at Tiantongyuan Culture and Arts Center (天通苑文化艺术中), located just north of the Olympic Park, and a mere 30 minutes by subway from Liangmaqiao.

Tiantongyuan is one of the densest housing communities in all of Beijing, with over 300,000 residents. And the Tiantongyuan Culture and Arts Center is one of the trendiest social media spots in the city.
