Beijing in Pictures: Job Fairs, Intangible Heritage and Silk Street Round Two

Though it may resemble the aisles of Carrefour on a busy Sunday afternoon, it's actually a shot of just some of the 100,000 60,000 people who crowded into Beijing's International Exhibition Center over the weekend for the second large-scale job fair in Beijing since Spring Festival.

An accident involving six vehicles left two seriously injured and caused traffic snarls just east of Guomao Bridge on Sunday morning.

Performers practice to take part in the "largest exhibition of intangible cultural heritage ever held in China" which opens today at the Agricultural Exhibition Center.

Round Two: An employee of the Silk Street Market management is attacked with a high-heel shoe as he attempts to close down one of the 7 new stalls accused of selling counterfeit goods. Although the stalls involved in last week's clashes are now open for business again, another 7 stalls have now been informed that they too are required to stop business for 7 days. Management of the market revealed that more temporary closures will take place later this month.
